I have enjoyed reading about the early days of Pine County and have been amazed at how many of the buildings in the old photos are still around. I like to metal detect as a hobby and have been able to find some older sites as a result of my reading|About the Author|Earl “Jim” Foster and Amy Troolin are both historians and genealogists with deep family roots in Pine County. Jim collects historical photographs, and Amy is a freelance writer. They are both active in local historical organizations.
