I tracked him down to Steubenville, (he was a tinplate worker), and I wanted a brief overview of the place where he and his family had settled. This book is just what I wanted. It's concise with a well written, witty narrative. An excell|About the Author|Dr. Holmes is a professor of English at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. He is associated with Fort Steuben, Inc. and he published The Story of Fort Steuben (2000) with Fort Steuben Press. He has published about 140 scholarly articles
