The footnotes are helpful, but so copious as to be distracting, especially for someone relatively new to Shakespeare. (For such a one, the Folger Shakespeare is the better choice.) It is not obvious what advantage the Third Series of the Arden S| |"Aimed at a more scholarly audience, the New Cambridge Shakespeare produces superb editions that rank with the Arden and the Oxford as the best in the business.
